A Burtonesque poem (a la Vincent) for Mr. Depp.
Enjoy.
Day in and day out, the press would fuss While Johnny tried to move from a car or a bus They snapped pictures and were ruthless as could be Yet the pain they caused, they couldn’t see
Johnny did not care for such a life He’d rather live far away from all the strife If anything he could do, he knew in a flash He wanted to be a pirate, like good old Captain Jack!
While out to dinner at a nice place He’d be very kind with a smirk on his face But secretly he was plotting to loot the restaurant And taking all the food he could ever want
Or if out with the family on a cruise While reading the paper and catching up on the news He desired to take the ship into his own command While to the crew delivering plenty of demands
One night when he couldn’t go to bed He had a great thought pop into his head “Why, this pirate thing isn’t hard at all, I could start right now, there’s no need to stall!”
And so, he gathered up all his supplies Stole Van’s eyeliner and put it on his eyes “Yar!” he yelled with a boyish glee “I am Jack Sparrow! Worship me!”
He ran out of the house and into the street And dueled with the various people he’d meet No one knew who he was, and tried to watch their step For they didn’t know they were dealing with one very crazy Johnny Depp
