One of the creepiest films I've ever seen....but Johnny is wicked hot in it, so that kind of distracts away from the gore.
It is set in Whitechapel, London during the later 1880's, as it follows the Ripper case. It's actually quite an interesting film.

Oh man, I know what you mean. It was creepy, but you're right. Depp looked...*melts*...amazing. It was really good though, I thought. A good movie for those who like that kind of mystery-ish, blood and gore movies with weird twists.

Or for those of us who just like seeing Johnny in a bath tub! hehe
It's actually like, my second favorite movie of his... it's kinda bloody but I think he really makes the film great, I'm not sure if it would be as good if he wasn't in it.

I loove this film! One of my favourite JD movies. I loved the gore, the suspense the semi naked Johnny. Just loved it. And certainly didn't see the twist coming!

Yeah, ES is my first pic... but I'd say From Hell is my second or third favorite. It's up there within my top 5. I was watching it with my roommate because we both kinda like those murder shows... like Forensic Files...

I think from hell is in my top 5 JD movies. I love it! I just can't get sick of watching it! I mean, there's some JD films you just cant watch over and over (well, maybe just me) like POTC for example. I love it to bits but it's really long and one can only watch it so many times before one can watch it no more!

I agree! I've actually fallen asleep while watching POTC. From Hell just interests me... it's disturbing but I love it... I referenced once in my psychology paper.

Really? Cool! From Hell just keeps you gripped, no matter how many times you've seen it. I wasn't particularly impressed with Heather Graham's attempt at an english accent, but apart from that I thought she did the role justice. And Mary Kelly's irish! Woo! ;D

Yay for Irish people! Yeah... she was okay in the role (my roommate commented on her bright red hair - it looked unnatural!) But she was pretty lucky... she got to be kissed by Johnny!

*swoon* Not only was her hair lookin a little on the unnatural side, but for a poor and starving prostitute... didn't she look quite glamorous? What with the perfect skin and sparkly eyes, lol.

Well, supposedly Mary Kelley was the prettiest one in the bunch... that's just going on what I've read...

Great movie! He's..*Dreamy sigh*..this is one of his hottest looks and I LOVE his accent, lol. The movie itself is good too, I don't mind gore, so, this was a little light for me. Loved the whole mystery and, although I saw the twist coming, it was done very well ^__^ (>> Much like the "twist" in Secret Window, lol)
