I LOOOOOOVE Irish accents~ I like my accent too ^__^ Yay New York!! Lol, everytime I say "coffee" "dog" "@ss" "awww" "Boston" Rina cracks up. I should find a way to record myself saying all that..we all should!! I'd love to have a different accent too, though. (In no particular order) English (all the different kinds too, but if I had to pick, I'd go with the less proper sounding ones ^-^), Irish or Scottish. I looove those accents~ Speaking of Kate Winslet..She does an AMAZING American accent. In Eternal Sunshine she sounds like she's a native American, I swear. Oh man! XD That's another accent I love. Mohawk, Lakota, Cheyenne, Taino, Apache, Arapaho, and Delaware Indians..they have some of the best accents ever (^__^;; Yay family~) Back to Johnny >> lol ^__^ he does great accents o___o Any accent of his you didn't think sounded authentic or didn't like? What did you think of his Irish accent Claire? I think his NY accent was dead-on, it was a bit scary especially for an Italian New Yorker, lol, which I know a bit about ^ ~ =P

Haha, you know what Caity, I am forever saying "Hey, could I get a cup of coffee"? in a New York accent. I love that accent so much! I wish I lived in New York... Yeah, we should all make recordings of our accents and then compare! XD Johnny's Irish accent in chocolat was really good. There were some words he couldn't quite pull off, but apart from those, he was bang on the mark. "I could fix this you know. Not with glass, but I could build ya a fine one with wood" (Hoping that's the exact quote!... I was really impressed with the way he said that) And yeah, he does a really good NY accent doesn't he?? all his accents are flawless. (haha, just for the record... I do not talk like Roux!)

I love new york accents!! I was cracking up when someone from Brooklyn was saying Nerd and it sounded like NOURD.. it was too much!!
I'm constantly getting made fun of because of my West Virginian accent. I was born in West Virginia and people can tell! I live in South Eastern Ohio only like 5 minutes from WVA. I really fit in when I travel south LOL If you guys know of Clay Aiken from American Idol.. then you know how I talk. Whenever I'm in the Cleveland area or somewhere north.. I feel like I'm in another planet because people are always asking me are you from Alabama or somewhere? Grrr haha

I can relate to you, Cici. I'm a native New Yorker, from Staten Island, actually! And even though I moved to New Jersey when I was 9, (by the way, no one in New Jersey actually says "JOIsey." A common misconception.), I still have a little bit of a New York accent. You can hear it in the way I say, for instance, "dog" and "coffee", and actually, all of the words that you listed, Cici! My friends are used to it though. I'm more of the one making fun of them. XP
And Lindz, I love Clay Aiken's voice. That's so awesome! (and I hate it when people assume things about me, too.) XD
My Great Aunt had an irish accent. It was gorgeous! My second cousin (her daughter) has a half Irish, half New York accent. It's so unique sounding!
Oh...and my favorite accent has to be English. I can pull off a pretty mean English accent. ;D

XD Yay! Voice recordings!! Awww, I bet your accent doesn't sound that bad lindz ^___^ I like to think I can do a good English accent, the NY accent actually helps sometimes, belive it or not, since some of the words are pronounced almost exactly alike. I also like to think I can do a pretty good Scottish accent, and I've stolen Johnny's Irish accent, lol. I loooooooove the way he says that line Claire!! Where in Jersey do you live Allie (If you don't mind my asking)? Oh yeah, lol, my sister goes to college in Jersey, so I know that whole Joisey thing is a misconception. Just like how people think everyone from NY talks like they're in the mafia or something XD Although..being an Italian NYer my accent does sway a bit that way, especially when I'm outside of NY..I start to sound like Donnie Brasco XD Oh man~ Now I wanna' hear everyone's accent!!

Haha, I wanna hear everyone's accents too! It'd be such a mixed variety. I love putting on accents (I do it alot.... it must be annoying 0__o) I love hearing non Irish people do an Irish accent.... it seems like it must be a hard one to do, lol.

Yeah! we should somehow make a voice recording of each other's voices!! That would be so neat! And thanks everyone for not making fun of my accent!! LOL you don't even know how it sounds and everyone assumes those with southern accents are I don't know... werid! LOL I catch myself saying an instead of and and not say g's at the end of words like singing.. it's always singin.. and my dad is hysterical! He says insterin when saying instead! I laugh all the time and sometimes catch myself saying it! And don't forget about the ahm instead of I'm. I'm really bad at that! One of my co workers have a very cool New York accent. She didn't know what a toboggan is!! LOL I was commenting on one of the children's toboggan and she was like.. what's that!?!! Do you New Yorkers know what a toboggan is?! LOL I'm sure everyone in here as an awesome and unique way of talking!! I don't know how to talk in a British accent.. I wanna try!!

Haha, that's really funny, Lindz!
I'm from Monmouth County...does your sister go to Rutgers? I'm thinking about going there. XD
That would be so awesome if we could do a voice recording! (Almost as awesome as it would be if Claire and I could find a family tree website..) It would be so cool to hear all of our awesome ways of talking! Oh yeah.

I also love listening to people speaking different languages. It's so neat listening to them and not knowing what is being said! Sign Language is so beautiful also! But accents are like a different language all in it's own! LOL

Ramapo! Yes...my band teacher's daughter goes there. Weird connection, I know, but that's why it sounds familiar.
How do we make voice recordings? *scratches head*
